I know the Nearly Legal blog is already a link but if you haven't clicked on it do it now!
Fascinating stuff, has to be to get me to read Housing cases at 8.45 at night when I should be watching the 'idiots lantern' as my step-dad called the tv. Though having just reread two cases, Romano and Malcolm, my brain hurts and I don't know if I know anymore than I did before I started.
Right housing might be interesting but the Apprentice is on now!

Thanks for the flattering mention. The blog keeps me from watching telly, even Mad men and Ashes to Ashes, but I didn't expect it to do the same for anybody actually reading it.
The DDA cases are fascinating and complex, but I think they all boil down to one question - is the treatment of the person 'for a reason related to their disability'. The meaning of that phrase is crucial.
Then, what action can the person take? Complex in principle, but in practice, should be fairly straightforward. Hopefully the House of Lords will make things clearer - malcolm is being heard in April, but we will have to wait some time for the judgment.
